HOW TO MAINTAIN VENDOR RECORDS:


How to maintain Vendor Records:
Firstly you open Peachtree software and open your existing company and then click on the MAINTAIN KEY and then the following window will be open.

Here we select Vendors and click on it and the following window will be open.

Vendor Fields and Tabs:

Here we fill the Vendor ID, Name

  After complete above information click on the save button which is show in the following.


Then fill the information given highlighted shown below.

In the general tab we fill the Contact, address where we mail the bill email and website. After that click on the SALES PURCHASE DEFAULTS and following window will be open.


Here we enter the above information.
Purchase Rep means purchase representation.
Purchase Acct means when we buy the goods this account will be debited.
Tax ID: here we enter the vendor tax id num.
Ship Via means the medium through the order is consigned.
After complete this click on the Customer Fields and the following window will be open.

Here we fill the following information and click on the HISTORY. And the following window will be open.

Here we enter the first date of transaction, last date of invoice received, last invoice amount, last date of payment, last amount you paid the vendor.
At the end click on the save button to save it which is shown in the following.

Default Vendor Information:
In this window we firstly go on maintain menu after that click on default information and click on the vendor which is shown in the following.

After click on the vendor the following window will be open.

There are four tabs in the vendor default window which is shown in the following circle.

First tab is Payment Terms. In this window we tell about the following terms.
C.O.D. (CASH ONJ DELIVERY) means payment is made on the delivery of consignment.
PREPAID means advance payment to the seller.
Due in number of days means payment is made with in the given time period.
Terms includes:
Net days in, discount in, discount% and credit limit.
In the window 2/10, n/30 means 2% discount can taken if payment is made in the 10 days as the limit of payment is 30 days.
